Neighbourhood Walking Tour

Garbatella Neighbourhood Walk
Saturday, May 20th (10.00 am)

Join the Association for an intriguing, guided tour of the Garbatella neighbourhood with Silvia!

Garbatella is one of the most interesting suburbs of Rome and is unlike any other area within the city. Begun in 1920, planners envisioned a workers’ residential area that resembled the English Garden Cities, complete with communal spaces. Then, Fascism brought the rationalist style and today it has an eclectic mix of unusual architecture, piazzas, gardens, and street art, full of character and history at every turn!

We will start promptly at 10.00 am, therefore please arrange to arrive by 09.50 am. The meeting point will be at Piazza Benedetto Brin (by the fountain), 8 minutes on foot from the Metro Garbatella. Our guided walk will last approx. 2 hours.

The fee for the guided tour is €21.00 for members and €23.00 for non-members (including €2.00 for the audio guide). Please confirm with the Association britishexpatsinitaly@gmail.com if you wish to attend.
Booking and payment deadline May 15th (no refunds are possible after the payment deadline)
