The Association recognizes that this can be a particular difficult period for members living alone. Though the Italian statistics are beginning to show some minor improvement, the situation has very much become a global concern affecting many countries. This will no doubt impact how Italy and other countries react to alleviating the self-isolation rule that has been in place since the beginning of March.
As we adapt to staying at home the association is willing to support members in the following way:
- If members are feeling lonely or do not have much opportunity to interact with other people or if members simply want to chat to someone different, the committee has made themselves available to support you. This can be either by phone or using one of the web conferencing tools such as Zoom. If you are interested in having a chat with a committee member, please email the association with your availability and we will put you into contact with a committee member.
- If any association member would like support in getting set up with web conferencing technology to be able to engage with family and friends, email the association and we will put you into contact with someone that can help you.
The association is also organizing some online social events for members to attend. We will need to restrict number so we can achieve a successful online encounter. Information will be posted on our monthly Newsletter, on Facebook and on our website homepage.
